About Us FIIG is organized into two groups to address its investment objectives and is lead by Frank Islam, a successful entrepreneur and experienced business executive. Financial and portfolio management is provided by Rick Roth, who has significant experience as CFO with multiple venture-backed companies. The objectives of each group are supported by executives experienced in each respective industry. Additionally, FIIG has partnered with other capital groups as co-investors.
The Technology Group of FI Investment Group targets small companies in the second or third stage of development who have demonstrated the viability of their offering and who need additional capital for expansion and growth. The investment objective is to create current income and capital appreciation with returns appropriate for the nature of the investment risk. Generally, FIIG invests in the range of $1-$5 million, which would be used for working capital for product enhancement and increased marketing and sales. The investment is generally in the form of preferred equity or highly structured debt with equity elements, and is of sufficient size that FIIG will have a position of influence (and would likely have a board seat).
The Health Care Group of FI Investment Group targets investments in community oriented diagnostic service centers and organizations that provide ancillary support to health care providers. FIIG believes that there are many potentially profitable practices struggling in today’s volatile health care environment that require capital to build the appropriate business base and can benefit from a larger scale, standardized business model. FI Investment Group is well positioned to provide the capital and management support to realize the potential of these organizations. FIIG’s preferred investment position would be that of an acquirer or controlling owner so that it may easily leverage a scalable business model across multiple centers.
